“Trafik” is a dream of any city dweller. A contemporary venue, perfectly matching the busy metropolitan vibes. The place is open from morning to evening and you can come here for a solo, early-morning aromatic coffee with a newspaper, lunch in the middle of the day or a late night dinner with friends. Huge windows open up the venue to the city, encouraging the Gdynia residents to drop in for a tasty little smackerel or a bigger meal. The customer is always welcome here, because the motto of this restaurant is “Trafik, food and friends”. The restaurant specialises in the so-called fusion cuisine, which is becoming increasingly popular in Poland and which consists in skilfully combining elements of cuisine from different parts of the world. The owner, an accomplished international Chef and the French Chef work in close collaboration, coming up with a multitude of ideas for signature dishes, so that the menu is constantly changing. But one aspect remains unchanged. The insistence on the top quality of the produce used in the recipes, many of which have Healthy Food Certification. The menu includes fish, seafood, pasta and salads. Desserts, in particular, are very popular, and include raspberry with mint, sponge-cake biscuits and mascarpone mousse – a menu item which has found many ardent admirers.
“Trafik” has a modern, industrial-style interior. The walls are made of brick, the floors are constructed of straight, dark boards, and steel ventilation pipes run below the ceiling. The decor is complemented by original lamps, red and black simple tables and a giant board with a hand-written menu that is being constantly updated. An interesting idea is using a projector to play silent movies and photos from short- and long-distance travels in the evenings.
