A visit to the “Moon” restaurant enhances both the culinary and aesthetic experience. The stylish, sophisticated interiors combine traditional Chinese cuisine with modern interpretations of recipes from different corners of Asia. “Moon” was created at a time when Asian cuisine was available only in Chinese bars in Gdynia and was the first restaurant of its kind in the city. For 12 years, the owners, with the help of professional Chinese chefs, have been trying to infect Gdynia with their love for sophisticated, eastern flavours. Their efforts were appreciated several years ago, when the very popular sirloin in oyster sauce received the Złota Patelnia Award [Golden Pan Award].
The interior decor of the restaurant is designed in a modern yet oriental style. Already from the outside, the red entrance with a lantern indicates that we are dealing with Asian cuisine, but the interior surprises with its sophisticated simplicity and stylish Chinese accessories such as an old chest of drawers, a mirror or a crossbow on the wall. The restaurant is divided into three parts: lunch, dinner and a small room separated by a glass door for private functions. The first part – the club part, decorated in cream-red-black colours, is ideally suited for a casual lunch with friends or just having coffee. Here, you can also try one of the delicious green teas, as you watch TV or browse through the current newspapers. The restaurant part is more stylish, in a cream-brown tonality, with a beautiful floor made of exotic wood and an old sepia photo of a crowded Chinese street from the 1930s covering the whole wall. In the private room you will be captivated by a beautiful, stylish lamp and a large, illuminated photo of a bamboo. The sophisticated design does not end with the dining rooms, but is also present in the stylish bathrooms.
